On Sunday night I headed out on the train to Queens to hit the Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden with friends for a birthday party. My friend Jason was turning OLD (or so he thought), so it was time to help him celebrate his first walker. He wanted to get a Hoveround Scooter, but they told him he was just not eligible for Medicare for another 35 years or so.
I have been to the Bohemian Beer Garden many times, and each time is a pleasant experience. The have a large outdoor beer garden and an indoor area, should it be to cold. On Sunday night it was a perfect fall temperature to hang out in the quiet garden area, eat, drink, and be merry. The selection of beers is good, though I didn't manage to catch any of the names. And, the Yagermeister was good and cold when we did shots.
Some members of our party ordered food. I have never tried it here, but they seemed happy. I am usually to preoccupied with the drinking and partying to be bothered to order food when I am at the Bohemian Beer Garden. However, their menu seems to have a nice selection of foods at reasonable prices.
And finally, here is a picture of the birthday boy, Jason, making a complete fool out of himself. Or at least, I think that's what he was doing. Maybe he just looks like that normally. Either way, this is why large quantities of beer should be consumed in the safety of a walled in area, such as the Bohemian Beer Garden. Happy Birthday, Jason.
Hey don't look at me like that lol
