PitaGrill is a cute restaurant located in the heart of Chelsea on 8th Avenue near 15th Street that sits quietly under scaffolding at the moment. I hadn't given it a second thought til someone from work wanted to go there. I have been twice now, and some of the food is pretty darned good for lunch. To date my favorites are the California Hummus with cilantro, lime, and jalepeno in it to give it a little kick. It is not hot, just flavorful. Also the Pita Gilled Salad with a lite roasted red pepper vinaigrette was outstanding. Full of unexpected bursts of flavor from the salad dressing, feta cheese and the cranberries, this was one tasty treat.

The second time I visited PitaGrill, we tried the regular hummus. It was good, but almost a disappointment after trying the California Hummus with its unexpected flavor. And the chicken gyro was also good, but nowhere near as exciting as the salad I had the first time.
PitaGrill's motto is "positively healthy" but at least some of their food is positively delicious.
I have ordered from there several times already and almost everything is
delicious. The paninis are the best Ive had in a while. The goat cheese salad
is also very tasty,However the desserts can use some help but I guess since
its a healthy venue deserts are not a priority. Thanks for opening in
Chelsea!
