Thanksgiving in NYC part 2

posted Friday, 23 November 2007

Well, if you were not at my house on Thanksgiving, you missed a feast.  I have a few pictures of it, so you can enjoy and make your plans for next year.

Here's a shot of the appetizers, with the pies waiting in the background.

Tom made his appearance on one of my favorite items... a turkey tray that seems to put the head back on the Turkey.  I bought this item for $6 when I first moved to NYC at an East Village flea market.  I have never seen anything like it anywhere, but I think everyone should have one.

Finally at the end of the meal, when we were barely able to move, out came the pies. Here you see the pumpkin, which was a big hit.  With all this abundance, I was very happy to have spent some time helping to pack meals for the less fortunate a couple of days before.  It gave a lot more meaning to the day spent with lots of food and good friends.
